There are some out there that might not realize the amount of work that goes into the care and maintenance of a human hair wig. While human hair wigs are close to your hair there are still some maintenance steps that you have to take because it is still a wig. When one decides to get a human hair wig they should remember that they should use sulfate-free hair care products.
When one is washing a wig that is made of human hair there are some steps that they will want to take to ensure that they are making sure that the wig does not become damaged. The first step would be to start at the bottom of the wig and work their way up detangling the wig with a special brush designed for wigs. This will assist in making sure that the hair from the wigs does not get ripped out.
The next step that one will want to take the human hair wig and rinse the wig with cold water please remember that the wig needs cold water because hot water will loosen the glue and may cause the wig to come apart. The next item one will want to remember when is that one should not soak the human hair wig. The water will start to seep through the glue and cause the wig to start breaking down. While rinsing the human hair wig make sure that you are running the water in the same direction as the human hair to avoid any matting or tangles. The next step one will take is to use their fingertips to evenly distribute the shampoo into the human hair wig, then rinse with cold water again making sure the water is running the same direction as the wig to reduce the chance of tangles or matting.
Make sure that after rinsing the human hair wigs, to gently remove the water from the wig by patting with a towel making sure not to wring or squeezing the wig. The next step would be to condition the human hair wig then set it to be air dried.
